Koycegiz is a beautiful touristic settlement known for its stunning tectonic lake. Koycegiz Lake has a surface area of 5200 hectares, making it one of the biggest lakes in Aegean, Turkey. This smooth body of water gets its source from the Dalaman River and thermal springs, which sustain many endemic species such as loggerhead turtles, Nile turtles, kingfishers, egrets, pine and sweetgum forests.
Playing in the mud baths in Dalyan is a lot of fun. After visiting these mud baths, some individuals claim to feel ten years younger. It is supposed that taking a mud bath here has health benefits. Don't be concerned!!! There are showers located nearby where you may wash the mud off yourself before leaving this location.
Turtle Beach Dalyan
The Iztuzu beach is widely known as the ‘Turtle Beach with Golden Sands.' This 7 km long stretch of beachfront is one of the last nesting sites for the extinct Loggerhead Caretta Caretta Sea Turtles. Between a lake (freshwater) and a sea (salty water), this unique beach resides.
